The Monte Poieto mountain hut is a wonderful destination for everyone; adults and children. The refuge is easily reachable by cable car (cost about 8 euros a / r) or with a pleasant walk of about 1 hour. The lawn is incredibly green and cared for, you can relax lying down in the grass and let the children play in the adjacent playground .
All around you can see goats in free exit from their enclosure, easily approachable and a large aviary with an owl inside as well as deer and fallow in the other enclosure.

The terrace of the refuge is very suggestive even if it is usual to have lunch inside.
A little ‘yes history
The “Poieto” was born in 1959 as a winter resort, from the brilliant mind of Mario Grigis, historical figure of the Bergamasco ski, who, two years before, in Aspen, Colorado, during a world congress of the Intersky, knew the secrets of the big stations American winter.
Also I point out to 1h away but in the direction to Milan, Il Castello di Clanezzo (abandoned ruin) with a very special atmosphere, especially in summer.
