Sirmione is ideal in all seasons to spend a romantic and relaxing weekend . At the gates of the city you can admire the Scaligero Castle surrounded by the waters of Lake Garda. Walking towards the city you can find the Aquaria Thermal spa,  a beautiful outdoor spa (with sauna inside, etc.) and with the possibility of a few hours of aperitif and a couple of hours at a reduced price.

Going forward you will find the Jamaica Beach and the archaeological area of ​​the Grotte di Catullovery special and impressive as seen.

Alternatively there is the  Garda Thermal Park (Colà)  on offer on “Your ticket” at 19 euros

To stay you can find some tourist solutions at the city of Sirmione with hotels affiliated with the spa , if you want something less commercial you can look for a solution in the surrounding area such as Desenzano del Garda . To park you can find some paid parking near Sirmione affiliated with the spa that will offer you a very small discount by presenting the parking ticket at the spa reception.

What to visit nearby? You can visit the Scaligero Castle of Sirmione and the Grotte di Catullo  in Sirmione and make a stop even in winter along the beach called Jamaica Beach where you will find the source of sulfur a bit ‘smelly but with so many beneficial properties.

To visit the castles, check the closing days. Nearby you can also admire the Sigurtà Park a green oasis where you can admire a lot of flowers and plants in every season.

If you have the opportunity to move a little further and I recommend that you visit the Vittoriale degli Italiani worthy of a visit also of the whole park.

The Vittoriale degli Italiani is a complex of buildings, streets, squares, an open theater, gardens and streams built between 1921 and 1938.

Other tourist attractions are the Parco Natura Viva, a  modern or zoological park, an important conservation center for endangered species, with inside the safari area, the terrarium water, the tropical greenhouse and the dinosaur area.

For the water fun instead in the vicinity of the Natura Viva Park we have the Caneva aquapark and of course Gardaland and Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium.

If you want to visit other towns outside of Sirmione my advice is to Desenzano, Peschiera del Gardaand finally Borghetto sul Mincio a fraction of the town of Valeggio sul Mincio included in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
